And sometimes you don't.
Jul. 29th, 2003 10:22 pmThis is like the good news/bad news thing. I wish I had gotten the bad news first.
The good news: I found a wonderful story done by Hanakai on ff.net.
Not five minutes later, the bad news:
Someone had the utter, FUCKING GALL to post Telanu's "A Most Disquieting Tea" under her own name in fanfiction.net. I blinked for a moment - Telanu updated? Wizard Song was NC17-not exactly welcome there anymore...
And then I saw that it was under a different name. Someone else put it up. BUT - with the same title and summary. Clicked on the link just to make sure - I've practically memorized Telanu's first Tea fic and I thought I was going to ROAST someone for the first time in my life.
Story not found.
Good. (snarls) It better NOT EVER be found!
I absolutely DESPISE plagiarizers. We fan fic authors may write in somebody else's universe but that's the point of the BLOODY DISCLAIMERS. And when you write a fan fic off some else's fan fic, ask permission.
Stealing someone else's idea, word for fucking word is PLAGIARISM.

Date: 2003-07-29 07:03 pm (UTC)I decided just to re-read Hanakai's fic...which calmed me down considerably. Then went back to lamardeuse's latest chapter. Heh. What? Like I said, Snarry snark/romance in the morning is a better pick-me-up than coffee...
