1. Enahma's My Man Friday. Yes, one of my guilty pleasures are the ridiculously cheesy Snape n' Harry are forced/accidentally married/bonded fics. Good for a laugh if you're reading them on ff.net, OOCness, bad grammar and all. But a punch to the gut when it's done decently. And this IS one of the better-written fics of that sort. It's not perfect. But it's haunting. And for some strange reason, this story has taken up residence in my brain.

I can only explain that it "feels" like one of them old Judith McNaught novels I used to read in high school. I loved most of her stuff, except for Whitney My Love which I wanted to throw into the Pasig River. And as bonkers as her usual plots were, I just couldn't put 'em down. This story affected me the same way, but more and better. And Enahma's Snape and Harry behaved in a somewhat more believable manner to me, in the way they eventually developed their relationship. None of that WHAMMO! They're in love! B.S. And while there's a "sort-of" non-con in there, which normally squicks the hell out of me, it was handled far better than stupid Whitney My Love.

2. This entry from Severus Snape, as portrayed by [livejournal.com profile] snapetoy in [livejournal.com profile] restituere. Oh, the UST! Oh, the Snarry goodness! *chortles* Go, go, and go - and help us set the poor sods up!

3. [livejournal.com profile] cauldron_brew or Severus Snape as portrayed by [livejournal.com profile] hp_femme is now on the loose in LJ land!! Watch him exchange snark for snark with the Ladies of His Harem - a.k.a. [livejournal.com profile] la_sonnambula, [livejournal.com profile] chaos_rose and [livejournal.com profile] sharp_tongue

4-5. Fan Art by [livejournal.com profile] brevisse. Two of 'em, so that makes five.

Check out the first one right HERE. And I just realized - this is Snapercup! Oh, my Snape in "As You Wish" doesn't go around in drag. But ever since [livejournal.com profile] ygrane coined that name, I wanted to see the image that went with it. I don't know how Brevisse did it, but this is my Snapercup Muse. And now I'm inspired. *squees*

Be WARNED! DO NOT, I REPEAT, NOT DRINK ANYTHING IF YOU'RE GOING TO VIEW THIS PIC. Really. Spare your monitors and keyboards. Put the coffee down. Then look.

God, I love this day.

I agree with you about "My Man Friday"; it's stuck in my mind too. Some parts bothered me, but overall it was memorable. Great to have two long Snape/Harry fics in one week!

[livejournal.com profile] snapetoy's Snape and [livejournal.com profile] dementordelta's Harry are great, aren't they? I could just hug Harry. Love him to pieces. Snape I just lust after. ;)

Mind you, [livejournal.com profile] restituere is proving to be a health hazard to me. I get heart palpitations just looking at some of those icons. Hot hot hot. (Have you seen Oliver's?)

True. Some parts bothered the hell out of me too...which is why on the second read, I pretty much skipped 'em and went back to the parts that I liked best . But now, damn it, they're living in my brain! I keep getting these mental images of a post-story Harry and Severus living in Hogwarts together.

It's like this. You're a student, at Hogwarts and you know most of the gossip surrounding everybody's favorite Potions Master and that new Defense Teacher. And you see 'em together. They don't mush all over each other in public but there's these little looks they exchange and sometimes, if you're lucky, you can catch Professor Snape smiling ever so faintly at Professor "Evans." And sometimes, when they walk together in the halls, they just seem so together even if they're not physically touching each other, that it's just sweet.

There. That kind of thing.

I utterly adore 'delta's Harry and want to snog 'toy's Snape. Except Harry will kill me if I do. *grin* I just went back and found the thread His Snarkiness was so furious about so now I completely adore Luna for the wicked matchmaker that she is.

And can I just say I want to thump Professor Zabini over the head and take him home to Mommy? *wicked grin* With that icon his player picked out, I keep seeing Ryan Philippe in that Dangerous Liasons-inspired movie he had with Buffy. Mweh.

Oh, you need to write the sequel. Yes, indeedy. *g*

I suppose one advantage (I think it's an advantage) I have, is that I don't know who any of these guys are. Okay, so Blaise is Ryan Phillippe? I've heard of him. Didn't know that was him though. So I just look at them, without any baggage, and drool!

I don't only love the guys though. I love Pomona Sprout's icon, too. I pretty much love everyone's icons. :)

AIEEE! I have to ask permission first! And I still haven't done my CCC fic. *sobs*

And I have a press release due tomorrow.

Although, I'm getting inspired enough for a drabble. Just a lil' ol thing inspired but not set in the same universe or situation as that story.

Oh bloody hell. *headdesk*

Except Harry will kill me if I do.

Yes, yes he will. Unless its as Minerva, and it's a totally platonic kiss.

He's protective, our Harry.

Minerva would rather ruffle Snape's hair in typical motherly fashion, although she knows THAT will get her hexed anyway. What is it about Sev n' Harry that brings out my Mama Cat tendencies?

Thanks for the rec! :-) As you said the story is not perfect but it is well done. I am more in favour of A Convenient Marriage (http://diana.slashcity.com/Potter/convenient.htm) by Diana Williams.

My all time favorite in this kind of thing has to go to Diana's "The Courtship of Harry Potter." But yes, I do like "A Convenient Marriage" too.

*grin* Yes, I really, really LOVE my new Snapercup icon. *chortle* Awww...Snapercup!
