This is hilarious. Messing about with the Dungeon boys, trying to get them to see sense, manners and how to say: "I'm sorry."
Congratulations to the Anonymous poster over at
quidditch_prat's journal on his/her thoughts about how to make an apology. Well said! Give the fellow a prize!
Don't know if the boys over at the Dungeons will "get it." I feel a little disappointed, but not really surprised at Harry over this little fiasco. (Psst,
hp_femme! Well-played, btw! That's our Harry, warts and all! - Heh)
His "apology" just gave Draco more ammunition against him - couldn't defend the poor sweetie against His Snootiness, no matter how much I wanted to try. For once, I found myself on the Malfoy side of the fence. Please, folks, check outside for flying swine. That's a bloody unnatural state of mind for me to be in! *chortle*
Nice plot twist to the story though. Draco usually IS the aggressor against Harry and Co. in canon. He's an arrogant prat - always is and always will be. And while I must roll my eyes at the fanon attempts to portray Draco as the "aggrieved party" - THIS rendition over at
hp_dungeons is better and far more realistically done.
His Snootiness now knows how it feels to be the "underdog" - the position Harry used to occupy. Wonder if he'll learn to be more sympathetic to folks in that condition or will he, instead, decide that he'd rather go back to being the "bully" instead? This should be interesting to watch.
BTW..."His Snootiness." A new Draco nickname. I like it. *smirk*

This is creepy. Since I "watch" The Dungeons, Mr. Pantene Commercial a.k.a.
il_mago reports having spied a a young Snape lookalike. Please, someone, tell me that's NOT Mikhail Leilais (Harry's S.O.)! EEP! Talk about plot twists!
I really should be working right now. Heh. Sorry.
*SFX: cracking whip*
Okay! Okay! Scurrying back to the grindmill folks!

Date: 2003-10-15 07:35 am (UTC)Being completely sick and tired of fanfics that cast Harry as the poor, put-upon victim/saint, I thought I'd let him have a chance to be the utter prat that he can be when he gets pissed off.
He ain't perfect...far from it...and he despises Malfoy for a variety of reasons. (Not the least of which is that he's a little bit jealous of the whole Snape/Malfoy thing and he doesn't really want to examine why or even admit to himself that he is. So he's showing his arse. Unfortunately for him, he's doing it in public.)
But, being the rational soul that he is, he's considering some of the comments people are making, pointing out his and Ron's prattishness. *grin* Although they're irking, he recognizes some of the truth behind the comments. He's debating whether to get pissed off at everyone (none of whom know the truth behind the Potter-Malfoy feud in his opinon) or admit they're right.
As for Mikhail... *evil, evil chortle* Just wait. Plot twists galore are upcoming over the next few weeks.

YES! I know Harry can and will be an arse at times...that was actually a Snape-worthy moment back over there.
Now he's being sorry. Poor baby. Knew that if Ginny got into it he was going to back off. BWAHAHAHAHA!
He's as adorable as

Date: 2003-10-15 10:52 pm (UTC)Sorry it took me so long - had to kip out for lunch.
Did ya see his "conversation" with Ginny? Something about "temporary insanity?" Methinks someone had a crush on Professor Snape waaaaaaay back in school. *chortle* Wanna torture him over it but he's still in a pissy mood, poor thing.

Have friended you, btw. Friend back or not as you see fit. :)

Date: 2003-10-15 11:35 pm (UTC)Harry was freaking over how Malfoy was gushing over Snape being the most wonderful being on the planet and Ginny tweaks him about it. Didn't get the whole thing until Harry's last answer on that thread where he mentions "temporary insanity." Ah-ha! Made my ears prick up, let me tell you.
*singsongs* Looks like someone had a crush on a certain snarky Professor and told widdle Ginny all about it (much to her disgust and chagrin, I imagine).
Ooooh. Jealous!Harry is soooooo cute. I'm itching to tweak him about it but the poor lad's had a bad day as it is. We shall wait for a better opportunity.
Good luck on the homework, btw. Am lousy at mathematics in general (though I was a fair hand at algebra). I'm supposed to be working right now (in the office - evil me) but I will pop back here from time to time. Will friend you back too!
This is fun.

Date: 2003-10-15 11:39 pm (UTC)I'm going to agree with everything you just said, because I'm on my way back to the books right now.
I expect to be finished the maths about midnight, 4:30 hours from now, and then onto the computer to draw up excel spreadsheets and print photos and the like for astro. I'll stop in once or twice in the meantime to talk to you.
University is fun but the last week of the year sucks donkey balls.
I like that turn of phrase far too much, I think.

Date: 2003-10-16 12:01 am (UTC)You know you're taking the wrong classes when one equation takes 8 lines of writing. Not 8 of working - 8 to write down one step.
And the really sad thing is, I know I'm doing it right.

Date: 2003-10-16 12:30 am (UTC)It still takes two lines to write it out, but at least it's no longer so lengthy I have to colour-code it to make any sense whatsoever. Coloured ink is a lifesaver in this particular case.
But now all I have to do is plug 5 numbers into it (that's (0,0),(0,-1),(0,1),(-1,0),(1,0), if you were at all interested. Which I'm sure you weren't.)
Then I'm finished ONE QUESTION.
Dammit.

Date: 2003-10-16 12:54 am (UTC)I'm tempted to write at the bottom of the question I've just done "If you tell me I'm wrong, I'm going to hunt you down and kill you while you sleep." However while that worked perfectly well at high school (Mrs Brader always just laughed at me) I don't actually know who my marker is, and s/he may well know who I am. So I think I'd probably better not.
Was rather disconcerted today to find out that one of my lab supervisors for physics has actually been marking my assignments the whole trimester. And asked me why I hadn't done the last assignment. Utterly weird.

Date: 2003-10-16 01:02 am (UTC)Have to edit this damn fucking calendar myself. (I work in a theater company) Can't concentrate. My head hurts and I know this is because yay me, I have new glasses and just getting used to them.
(Can NOT wear contacts. My eyes blink too much and I'll probably manage to stick the stupid thing in the wrong place and cause myself much agony. Shit.)
Wanta play on LJ instead. But damnnit, my Boss The Captain of the Nazgul will kill me.
*sigh* Back to work....slave!

I can't wear contacts either. Well, I did for a year, at which point I got fully sick of the constant irritation. Yay us.

Am currently contemplating the wonder that is Excel graphing. Am completely bemused as to where the numbers are coming from. Will now bemoan the fact that I just used up the last of my graph paper, and go and do the damn things by hand.
Having a decent afternoon?

Date: 2003-10-16 04:58 am (UTC)The only thing good about this day was the hilarity on The Dungeons.
(Yes, I have NO life. *facepalms*)
Actually, this whole thing keeps me sane - keeps me from deciding to spend the entire day in bed, curled up with my various Spawn (stuffed toys of various species), which include Clark Kent the Yellow Dog and his buddy Colin Doggerel (yet another Dog).
My latest souvenir program is bloody late; the last one had a glaring, major mistake - both faults of the printers, not mine, thank God. *mutters imprecations in Tagalog* Real Life is hell. Bleh.

I'll come visit you one day and we can spend the whole day lying in bed talking about Snarry and cuddling stuffed toys. How does that sound?
Wonderful talking to you, must continue this. Have a good night. *snuggles*

Date: 2003-10-16 12:35 am (UTC)a. His boyfriend The Adrien Brody lookalike (haha) is going to fall into the clutches of one Pantene Shampoo-obsessed Malfoy. Ferret Sr. himself -
b. Snape will probably have a brief fling with Draco but I'm afraid the latter's going to really fall hard for his professor. I'm praying it will not be so - His Snootiness is growing on me. I see major fallout there. Ack! Since this was a hit against Lucius on Snape's part, we're going to see some wicked twists and bad karma along that way.
c. Snarryness - looks like it but it's still a far ways off. We may tease Harry into it but it depends if femme's gonna take off the blinders from Snape and let us mess with him. BWAHAHA.
d. Temporary Insanity - Harry must've had a crush on Snape way back in school. Confided this in Ginny. When Snape did his usual "I'm a prick" act on Harry, Harry chalked up the crush to "temporary insanity" and swore Ginny to secrecy on the subject. 'Cept that he didn't count on us catching on. Oh dear...I smell ammunition. *cackles evilly*

c) She won't, at least yet. We're set with UST for a while yet.
Actually, I had a Snarry dream last night, and there was NO SEX. The whole thing was UST. It pissed me off, I can tell you, and they were both utterly clueless. The Dungeons is eating my brain. At the end we'd all smacked them over the head enough (semi-literally) that they finally got it, and then I woke up before the good stuff.
d) Absolutely wonderful, I tell you.
e) *falls about laughing* We ARE The Evil Trio! *giggles helplessly*

Date: 2003-10-16 01:02 am (UTC)If we're not careful we'll attract so many people we'll be The Evil Septuplet or something equally not catchy. Although that does sound vaguely serpent-like. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
Snape - it'd be a case of hit him from all sides until he can't fight back any longer. That'd be a hell of a lot of fun.

Date: 2003-10-16 01:08 am (UTC)Poor, poor Harry.
