There are times when I have two fave characters in a fandom and I love 'em equally although this isn't a standard rule, so I'll give you guys bonus points if you can guess BOTH characters. Hee!
ETA: I'm gonna up the ante a bit. If you guys can guess which fandoms where I've got TWO favorite characters, I will write y'all a drabble on those two people. Hee. *rubs paws gleefully*

1. Star Wars (Original Trilogy) - Darth Vader, guessed by yllyana. When I was a wee alien, Darth Vader absolutely TERRIFIED me but finding out he was actually Luke Skywalker's father and a hero once upon a time in his own right - THAT got me hooked. When I was a kid, I'd classified things in black and white, good and evil, good guys and bad guys - Vader was the first complex bad guy that I'd ever encountered, somebody who could not be so easily classified as one or the other and I've loved the eejit ever since.
And aside from Darth Vader, I do have another favorite Star Wars OT character, who I adore as much as Mr. Tall, Dark n'Sithly but you folks have to guess. Hee!
2. Star Wars (Prequels) - Anakin Skywalker, also guessed byyllyana and larochka173. Heh. When I finally met the man behind the mask, so to speak, my heart broke for the little boy who wanted to fly to the stars and take care of his Mom, the earnest, cocky Jedi padawan who was the one who actually pulled his reckless Master out of more scrapes than you could count instead of the other way around and the dashing, proud hero who fell to the Darkness because he just couldn't bear to lose his wife and had nowhere else to turn because the Jedi were too busy looking at their navels to pay attention. AGH.
3. Lord of the Rings - Morrie (AKA Morgoth Bauglir), guessed byyllyana. I blame murasaki99 for her unique look at the Original Dark Lord, although it's not strictly Tolkien canon. Canon!Morrie is a scary son of a bitch and he's ten zillion times worse than Sauron. Although technically speaking, Morgoth doesn't take center stage in LOTR and is more in The Silmarillion.
Aside from Morrie, though, I do have another fave LOTR character and no, it's not Feanor. Think main LOTR canon, people. Heh.
4. Harry Potter - Severus Snape, guessed bykaritawyr and also by yllyana and it's all because I adore the snarky, greasy, sarcastic, temperamental, incredibly intelligent drama queen who styles himself "The Half Blood Prince."
Harry Potter, guessed byyllyana. Harry makes for an interesting protagonist, being as he's not a goody-two shoes Pollyanna but a real kid. Like RK's Himura Kenshin, Harry's a good kid at heart but has this incredible talent (magic) and a lot of power to go with it. He's just gotten so much shit in his life that he has that darkness, that certain edge in him, that makes him interesting not just as a hero but as an amazingly complex character in his own right.
5. Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X) - Himura Kenshin a.ka. Hitokiri Battousai, again guessed byyllyana. For a protagonist, Kenshin is seriously complex. On one hand, he is the gentle, sweet, shy rurouni (wanderer) who's sworn never to kill another soul and goes about atoning for his past sins by helping people. Then, he's the hilariously adorable oro-chan who falls into the most ludicrous scrapes imaginable, goes googly eyed and whimpers "Ororororooooooo...." when he's just too mind-boggled to handle things. But then, he's also the dangerous, incredibly lethal and ruthless assassin Battousai and DAMN, he's scary.
Although I do like Shinomori Aoshi, he's NOT the other RK character I like. I'll give y'all a hint - he and Snape can go toe to toe when it comes to snarking. XP
6. Superman - Jason White, guessed bylisa_chan and yllyana. I like him because the recent movie presented him just as he should be - a real kid, quiet, unassuming, often overlooked, very smart without being obnoxiously precocious. He IS the son of Clark Kent and I look forward to seeing him grow as a more complex character than just a cliche teenager.
Again, there's another character in this fandom who I love just as much as I do Jason. Guess away!
7. Phantom of the Opera - Erik, The Phantom, guessed bylarochka173. You know me too well. Erik, like Anakin Skywalker and even Severus Snape, is a multi-layered antihero - genius in many fields, possessed of that beautiful voice and innate sensuality, even if his face is hideously deformed. In my universe, he ends up with Christine Daae and lives happily ever after. Heh.
8. Highlander (the movies & the series) - Methos, guessed correctly bylarochka173 and yllyana. He's a gift of a character, just like Erik, Anakin and Snape (there's a pattern in here somewhere....). The Oldest Immortal has many facets - Death, a scholar, a doctor, a schemer, a master manipulator, a mentor .... and I could go on and on and still not pin the wily old guy down.
Highlander's also another fandom where I've got a soft spot for yet another character and if y'all read the slash, NO, it's NOT who you think it is, even if I DO love Methos. Heh.
9. Ranma 1/2 - Saotome Ranma, again guessed byyllyana. He's brash, he's loud, he's cocky, he kicks ass and he's still an eejit teenage boy and I love him to bits, I do. Heh.
10. Inuyasha - Sesshomaru (a.k.a. Fluffy-sama!), whichyllyana again got right but not on Inu-Taisho. Sesshomaru is very much like what his name really means, being the "Killing Perfection" - cold, ruthless, a deadly fighter and drop-dead gorgeous, but it's the glimpses of compassion that he's beginning to show that make me like him all the more.
Yes, there's another character in this fandom that I like but it's not Inu-papa! Hee.
11. Yu Yu Hakusho (Ghostfighter) - Kurama, another spot-on guess byyllyana. Kurama's an interesting fellow and again, another person with two facets to him. He's the human Minamino Shuiichi who has discovered the value of human love and compassion for his human mother and then he's the deadly, cunning fox-youkai that he's been for centuries who can kick serious ass. And he's GORGEOUS whether he's a human redhead or the silver-haired fox. What's not to love? Hee.
12. Gundam Wing - okay, whileajmckay and yllyana both guessed right on Duo Maxwell, it's larochka173 who correctly guessed I like both Duo Maxwell and Heero Yuy. Duo not only pilots the coolest Gundam, he's also adorably loud, brash, cocky and the fact that he says he's Shinigami or the God of Death makes me wonder if he's not actually serious. Heh. That's an idea I picked up from MadamHydra, who writes DAMN good 1x2 fics. Duo nicely complements Heero Yuy's cold, killer, ruthless exterior and I like seing them together instead of Heero and (ugh!) Princess Relena.
13. Sailor Moon - Chiba Mamoru a.k.a. Tuxedo Mask/Prince Endymion, correctly guessed bylarochka173 and ajmckay. I shamefully admit that I find him gorgeous, broody and a bit on the mysterious side and what high school lass didn't want to have a gorgeous hunk of college-age boyfriend like THAT, who can also save your life when you're fighting "in the name of the Moon!" BWAHAHAHHA!
14. Mercedes Lackey's The Last Herald Mage series - Herald-Mage Vanyel Ashkevron, guessed byyllyana. He's gorgeous, tragic and can kick serious ass, can be such a vain little prince but at the same time, he's absolutely the sweetest guy you know. He could be Kenshin's long-lost gay brother even if he's not a redhead. Go figure. Hee.
15. Smallville - I'm considering this a DIFFERENT fandom from regular Superman and long-time slashers will be able to guess why if they can guess which two characters I love in this series. Heh.

Unlike a certain brooding Neanderthal poofter "angel," Spike made the decision to take back his soul and his humanity on his own terms and NOT because of a stupid curse. He's both the tough, cool kick-ass Slayer of Slayers and that sweet, shy, clueless really awful Victorian poet. There is so much to love and if Buffy won't appreciate what she's got, I will! Hehehehe.
18. Forever Knight - Lucien Lacroix, guessed byajmckay. Ol' Nunkies makes for an interesting bad guy, being the hard-ass Roman general, possessive vampire "father" and devil's advocate. But along with Nunkies, I'm also especially fond of another character in this fandom...
