Heh.  Doing the OTP Meme to chase the insomnia away...

 

1. Number One OTP that is truly THE ONE TRUE PAIRING (withstanding the test of time and fandom whoring) Snape/Harry.  Are you KIDDING?  With the way my Muses have taken up residence in my head and spawned? 

2. Your OTP today: Snape/Harry.  Harry Muse is a possessive bugger and isn't likely to let me pair Snape Muse with anyone else.  Not that Snape Muse is complaining, considering what the Boys were up to last night with that black chocolate...

3. Baby’s first OTP: Duncan Macleod/Methos (Highlander).  Heh.  Yep.  I've read a lot of the good classic Duncan/Methos fics in my time.  Off the top of my head, one of my favorites was Dayspring's "Save the Last Dance for Me" - which was, of course, a funny, fluffy kind of fic.  Please note that Methos is the older of the two guys (oh, by about several thousand years), is formidably intelligent, snarky, sarcastic, hid a dark dark past (he was Death of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in his teen rebellion phase) and has a big nose.  *slants a look at her Snape Muse*  Yep.  Please, take note of the pattern and move along...

4. That Rare Pairing that you Love:  Ginny/Draco.  I know, I know, AIEEE! HET!  What?  I like the idea of Ginny shooting the little ferret down and running off with him into the sunset.  Plus, I've liked the idea ever since I came across it in Mirror of Maybe - one of the classic unfinished Snarry WIPs.  In other fandoms.... Morgoth/Feanor, LOTR.  Heh.  See me start doing the next Club Denial story....

5. OTP that you’d go to bat for in Wank Situation: *hides behind furry ears*  Snape/Harry.  HELLO?! What else?!  Er.  Don't mind me hiding - it's the remnants of my Catholic puritanism....

6. Number One Anti-OTP, the pairing you hate with a fiery passion:  In the Potterverse, I don't have any one pairing that I LOATHE with all my heart, but there's a bunch that just make me go either WTF? or just sigh and move along.  So apologies in advance to any fans of this pairing and also my apologies to the other fandom fans who might find their OTP in here.  It ain't just my cuppa tea.

Snape/Lily - I suspect that there just might be subtext of this sort in actual canon, if not outright sanctioned... but honestly, WHY?  Is Lily the only viable woman during the Marauders' era?  What about Narcissa?  Or Bellatrix?  Or Andromeda? 

Harry/Ginny - I don't care if it's canon.  I don't care if Harry's going to end up marrying her and raise ten million little redheaded green-eyed brats by the time Book 7 is done.  Just. No.  Lalalalalala.  Here is me going off to the River Denial...

And in other fandoms...

Clark Kent/Lana Lang (Smallville): GAH.  She's pretty.  He's pretty.  Together, they have absolutely no chemistry onscreen.  Nada.  Zip.  None. 

Clark Kent/Lois Lane (Smallville):  I grew up with The Adventures of Lois and Clark, not to mention the Superman movies with Margot Kidder and Christopher Reeve.  Now I've always been annoyed with Lois for not seeing Clark as the great guy that he is WITHOUT the flashy blue tights and red boots.  Smallville just reinforces my instant gag reflex now.  Thank God for Smallville slash.  XP

Angel/Buffy:  He's a neanderthal!  He's an idiot! He's Peaches!  Ew.  Yeah.  Can you tell I've always had a thing for Spike?  Call me a Spuffy kinda gal. 

7. Character you pair off with almost anyone: Lupin.  'Cos I have a soft spot for the wolfy, especially since HIS OTP has gone off beyond the veil.  *sniffles*

Having NOT seen a lot of the shows listed, I just went and put in the shows I HAVE seen.  XP

Highlander: Duncan/Methos.  Hands down. 
Forever Knight: Nicholas Knight/Lucien LaCroix  *hides face in hands*  I know, I know.  I'm a Nick/Nat shipper at heart.  But I know subtext when I see it.
Knight Rider: *still hiding face in hands*  Michael Knight/Kitt.  Don't ask. 
Transformers:  Megatron/Optimus Prime, Megatron/Starscream  Are you KIDDING?  Robot UST! 

Buffy The Vampire Slayer:  Spike/Buffy.  I really watched this in the later seasons.  So I'm a Spuffy alien all the way. XP
Matrix: Trinity/Neo.  Kind of obvious.  What can I say?
Harry Potter: Ron/Hermione.  *rolls eyes*  They're bleeding obvious.  Right before the Snape/Harry. XP
Smallville: Clark Kent/Lex Luthor.  *rolls eyes*  Subtext?  Forget subtext.  It was right there from the very first episode.  CLEX all the way, baby!
Crossover: Morrie/Methos (Morrie, as in Morgoth, the way murasaki99  writes him).  Heeeee. 
Other: Tristen/Cefwyn from CJ Cherryh's Fortress series.  Oooooh.  XP

Lordy, I so rarely comment on meme's, but DAMN, I just about fell off my chair laughing:

Since HBP came out, my husband will NOT shut up that his boring little ship is sailing away and I will join you on that trip down the river, if you don't mind.
