WARGH. I'd better be rid of this cold because I want to watch Star Wars Episode III tomorrow. Yes, I've read parts of the hardcover novelization (God Bless FullyBooked and its policy of letting customers browse through the books they want, instead of keeping them in plastic).



a. The Jedi are idiots. *facepalms* Too bloody self-righteous and tradition-bound to see what's wrong right under their noses. AUGH.

b. You know I've been reading Telanu's Tea Series WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much when I can equate Anakin's turning to the Dark Side, to save Padme's life, in the same way to Harry going all Dark-Side to avenge Sirius and keep Severus from getting himself killed. *shudders* Like I said, Harry's a card-carrying member of Dark Lords Anonymous himself.

c. I'm a complete romantic sap because the last line in the Revenge of the Sith book totally hits me RIGHT HERE: Love can ignite the stars. WARGH. ANI!!

d. Anakin may have inadvertently caused Padme's death. Oh the poor poor sod. In trying to prevent this from happening, he just brought it on all the faster... GAH, I HATE that kind of tragic irony.

I'm with you there. I was able to ignore the worst of the symptoms until the deadline was met last week and then I crashed hard on my days off. Colds suck!! Especially when I can't shake them. *rages* *coughs* *wheezes*

Re: Star Wars. I haven't seen Episode II yet, but I'm aching to see III. That's so heart breaking that Anakin went to the Dark Side to save his love. Can't wait to see it.

See, I'm just the kind of stone bitch who expects this sort of thing. I'm not surprised. I am curious to know if the novelization is worth reading. Did you like it for reasons other than the affecting final line?

After finally coming to the conclusion that Star Wars fan fic is far better than a lot of the "official" novels out there, this book is actually worth a read. Very much worth the read. Was wandering around with my head in space (pun intended) for hours after. XP

You can go either sides I guess

there's no wonder Harry can go dark or stay in the light, and like anakin, it would take something drastic like a lost of a very much love one (like Severus <-- OTP). I read many fics, including 'Harry, I'm your father' line from Voldemort to Harry = Anakin.

Read OotP again and tell me if it isn't almost exactly like Empire Strikes Back in structure.

Sirius = Han Solo
Albus = Obi-Wan (gone for most of the book, hands Harry over to a new "mentor" of sorts who is....)
Snape = Yoda (HAHAHAHAHA! I know, but they're both cranky, cantankerous, don't think Harry/Luke can do the job AND they have issues with Harry/Luke's fathers. XP)
Snape = Darth Vader (if you don't think slash, then Snape is like a darker father figure for Harry, who also reveals some very unpleasant truths about Harry's Dad, re: the Pensieve)
