Severus as Cyrano de Bergerac...
Sep. 16th, 2004 04:37 pmHi.
Um.
Er.
Harry here. Merlin, can I sound any more stupid than THAT? This is why Stitch asks Severus to do the writing at times... *facepalms*
Stitch has up and died again but judging from the silly, loopy, delighted grin on her face, this is a good kind of dead. She's just read a rather very good story that someone named Cluegirl has written about Severus and I. It's a sort of hommage to Cyrano de Bergerac, with Severus in the role of Cyrano.
Frances has asked about who Cyrano is. I vaguely remember some sort of movie about that which had that girl who played the mermaid in this OTHER movie and Hermione's told me to read the book but I've never gotten around to it. But basically, I remember that Cyrano's this bloke with a rather...um, LARGE nose *coughcough*, a very witty sort of fellow who's hopelessly in love with this girl, who's in love with someone else - this handsome bloke who's a bit of a clod, really.
Severus here mentions (silly git) that the first person to make observations about nose size is going to get hexed.
Ehrm. Anyway. Cyrano thinks that he's never going to win the woman of his dreams and being a sweet, self-sacrificing sort of fellow, he helps The Clod woo the girl, writing letters and pretty poems and suchlike.
So Severus in this story does something similar for Malfoy Jr....(ewww, Draco MALFOY?!) but never mind. :P And while Severus is his atypical..."charming" self, he's really rather sweet going about this whole business. And all for me. *blushes*
My Severus is now scowling at my use of the word "sweet" because he refuses to admit that he's capable of being so at times. *rolls eyes* But he is. We'll just not tell him that, shall we? *cheeky grin*
Anyway, the story is Severus Snape and the GhostWritten Romance over at Inkstained Fingers.
Now, I'll go check on the children and see if they can get Stitch awake again....

How many grandchildren are Severus and I supposed to expect again? Triplets at the first go?
Re: *blushes*

Date: 2004-09-16 09:28 am (UTC)Severus here wholeheartedly agrees. Judging by that ferocious scowl he got and the use of...er, "creative language" while he was reading the thing... I'm pretty sure about it.
Er. Excuse me. I do believe my husband wants me for an appointment on the couch...

P.S. I confess that the bloke who played Mr. Darling in that Peter Pan movie is a looker, though. At least Stitch and I agree on that. Don't tell Severus though.
And you lot can keep that Captain Hook fellow!

All three: Is anyone willing to adopt us? It looks like we are all about to be orphans soon.

Date: 2004-09-17 11:55 am (UTC)I saw the summary at top, and had to tell you I was on tenterhooks the entire time Cluegirl was writing. The play, which has always been one of my favorite works, has a TERRIBLY TRAGIC ENDING. The kind that leaves you sobbing for hours. I was so worried she would actually go and do it, as she modeled so much of the story on the plot of the play. I was truly prepared for anything. I have to admit, I loved it too.

Date: 2004-09-17 02:32 pm (UTC)Happily, it did not. Hee! I have been wearing this big silly grin all day. It's not every day you can pick up a fic, find a near-perfectly IC Snape who manages somehow to be this..., um, "sweet" fellow I'd end up falling in love with all over again.
Okay. So Harry Muse and I were BOTH falling in love all over again. This is inspiring me.... :P
