Before I say Good Night....
Oct. 17th, 2003 12:36 amReal Life sucked today. I spent the last week proofreading, editing and collating materials for FOUR BLOODY SOUVENIR PROGRAMS. For shows that were scheduled every two fucking days.
Gah.
And today....bleargh. I meant to go home a little earlier, not feeling really up to work right now. It was one of those days. THEN, at 5:00 p.m., we learn that the printer will not be able to deliver my latest souvenir program...after promising that they WERE going to deliver this day, at 5. Er...guys, the fucking show is tonight?!! You already made a MAJOR, MAJOR mistake in the last goddamn program and NOW you're fucking delayed?
One of the things that kept me sane was
hp_dungeons. Poor Harry. Jealousy, wounded pride, chagrin....not a pretty combination. I feel sorry for the guy.
Hail to thee,
vileseagulls for the very pleasant company today. Yet another reason I stayed reasonably sane today. After heckling Harry (mweheheh), we should continue to keep each other company. It was really nice talking to you.
And also, congrats to my kababayan
slumber_8 for getting hooked on The Dungeons today. Heh. I. Am. A. Bad. Influence. Yay me!
Now, I'm really, really sleepy. Must toddle off now.
Gah.

Date: 2003-10-16 10:14 am (UTC)I'm surprised I managed to reach him. At all. I must admit that I don't like Canon!Draco (who is, as of this moment, because of JKR, still the arrogant git). I don't even like the contrived ways lesser fan fic writers have tried to "redeem" him.
But I like THIS Draco - he grew on me. Blame
And yes, I'm trying to save Draco. *twhaps head on keyboard* But he's so prickly and stubborn!
I *don't* want to see him brokenhearted.
Neither do I but it looks that way. I ran back over to his last LJ and seconded you in your advice - which is damn good.
(P.S. I now know why you thought I was "badmouthing" you. *facepalms* One damn comma put wrong - gah, this is embarassing. And I'm supposed to be a writer! *blush*)
I corrected the wrong impression I gave you (hopefully) in that post. We both don't want to see him get hurt now, do we?
Maybe he isn't really meant to be as invested as he sounds to me? Maybe I'm overrreading him? Maybe he is just looking for someone to "mentor" him and won't be that hurt when it doesn't work out? What do you think?
He's broken with his father and is trying to stand on his own two feet but he finds it difficult. Lord knows I've tried to tell him that he doesn't need to stand in Lucius' shadow. But he doesn't believe me - not yet. He says he's not looking for love, nor does he believe in it, but obviously, he IS and he doesn't want to admit it to himself.
Yes, he needs a "mentor." It looks like we LJers may just fill that role, in the absence of a "viable" candidate from the Potterverse gang. I don't know what
You're saying all the right things to him too - maybe between us we can keep him from making too much of a mess in his life. I hate to see the fallout from this romantic disaster myself.
Man, this RPG is addictive. Never knew it could be so much fun. And such a challenge too! :)

Date: 2003-10-16 07:19 pm (UTC)And yep, G'morning!
(Not quite a wonderful morning for me, as I have the beginnings of a nasty cold but still...hanging out here makes me forget the stuffy nose, aching ears and head for a while....)

*insert evil chortle here*
(Snarry fans are going to hate me.) But, damn it, Draco's grown on me too...I don't want to break the git's heart.
Oh, well. It does take time for the Snarry lurve to grow, anyway. ;)
Speaking of Snarry lurve, hey, Stitch...I'd like to alert you to a thread between Ginny and Harry that you might like to check out. Just for speculation purposes, of course. *grin*

Date: 2003-10-16 07:17 pm (UTC)You realize, don't you, that the very idea of Snaco gives me the cold creepy chills, right? That being said, since His Snootiness has grown on me and since I don't trust His Snarkiness' motives, we're trying to help Draco out. Poor guy - I don't wanna see him get his heart broken too!
Yes, Stitch likes Draco. I'm sending the footie pyjamas to Hell tonight.

Date: 2003-10-16 07:56 pm (UTC)You know, normally it does me as well. But I've just fallen so much in love with Isolde's Draco that I can't wait to get into this part of the plot. Plus, there's nothing like a little Snape lurve to brighten up the day. (Not to mention Harry's reaction to it. *bwa-ha-ha-ha*)
That being said, since His Snootiness has grown on me and since I don't trust His Snarkiness' motives, we're trying to help Draco out. Poor guy - I don't wanna see him get his heart broken too!
Help all you can. Please do. Neither Isolde nor I want to see him get his heart broken, and we're definitely trying to find a way around that. We hope. :)

We're trying! His Snootiness is just so stubborn! *grin* Y'know, when you guys first started, I thought he was eventually going to end up with...(gasp!) a Weasley.
*coughDracoandGinnycoughcough!*
Now you know my dark secret. I am a heretic - shipping Draco and Ginny together. AIEEE!!! HET!!!!! *hides*
*mega-huggles*
I, too, hate being dependent on other people for...anything. (Curse those printers! Furnunculus on all of you!)

Run and check out Harry and Ron's conversation over at
*scratches head* I have the odd feeling that he's talking about someone else though - he says the person in question was already committed to someone else.
Oh God. He couldn't be talking about Ron, could he? Ewww!

Mystery, mystery. Good thing I also keep an eye on Ron's journal, though I don't post there so much.
Need to toddle off to bed myself and give this cold a rest. Unfortunately, I'm still at the office, waiting for my idiot brother to come fetch me. The poor sod's stuck in traffic - gah.
G'Night!

Harry was talking about being in love with Ron? Seemed like Ron to me, actually. I mean, I mean, who else could it be? I don't think Snape was in love with anyone else then, right?
Cripes. Harry was in love with Ron.

So much to do tonight. Drugs first order of business.
Goodbye now. *snuggles*

You do realize that I'm not even a Snarry shipper? It's like, The Ship That Lived On The Other Side Of The Ocean and what have you got me doing, reading a RPG that is veering towards that direction? Tsk tsk tsk... ;)
Just so you know, I'm in it for Draco. Well, not really. But. He friended me. *swoons* Get me out before I become incohe--h32ueahfajfhskgl..... @_@

Date: 2003-10-20 03:18 am (UTC)Mind, I'm happy for the chap - it's SNAPE I'm not too happy with. Let's hope His Snootiness doesn't fall too hard, too fast. If he does - I'm going into full ate mode.
At the moment though, he's just way too happy - can't bring myself to spoil his fun. Plus, any advice to him at this point would be seriously inappropriate and would probably earn us a hex (or two, or three....)
Man, nakakaaddict talaga ito! Worse than Meteor Garden, which was a craze that thankfully spared me. Heh.
