Real Life sucked today. I spent the last week proofreading, editing and collating materials for FOUR BLOODY SOUVENIR PROGRAMS. For shows that were scheduled every two fucking days.

Gah.



And today....bleargh. I meant to go home a little earlier, not feeling really up to work right now. It was one of those days. THEN, at 5:00 p.m., we learn that the printer will not be able to deliver my latest souvenir program...after promising that they WERE going to deliver this day, at 5. Er...guys, the fucking show is tonight?!! You already made a MAJOR, MAJOR mistake in the last goddamn program and NOW you're fucking delayed?


One of the things that kept me sane was
hp_dungeons. Poor Harry. Jealousy, wounded pride, chagrin....not a pretty combination. I feel sorry for the guy.

Hail to thee, vileseagulls for the very pleasant company today. Yet another reason I stayed reasonably sane today. After heckling Harry (mweheheh), we should continue to keep each other company. It was really nice talking to you.

And also, congrats to my kababayan slumber_8 for getting hooked on The Dungeons today. Heh. I. Am. A. Bad. Influence. Yay me!

Now, I'm really, really sleepy. Must toddle off now.

Hi Darth, it's me. I'm impressed by the rapport you have with Draco (let's just call him by his name : ) but please, SAVE HIM. I *don't* want to see him brokenhearted. That's all. : ) He's so sweet. I'm not sure though, who's voicing him? Maybe he isn't really meant to be as invested as he sounds to me? Maybe I'm overrreading him? Maybe he is just looking for someone to "mentor" him and won't be that hurt when it doesn't work out? What do you think?

I'm surprised I managed to reach him. At all. I must admit that I don't like Canon!Draco (who is, as of this moment, because of JKR, still the arrogant git). I don't even like the contrived ways lesser fan fic writers have tried to "redeem" him.

But I like THIS Draco - he grew on me. Blame isolde9 for such a brilliant characterization of Draco. She voices him so well and so believably that I couldn't help liking the guy. Even took Harry to task for what he did to the poor chap.

And yes, I'm trying to save Draco. *twhaps head on keyboard* But he's so prickly and stubborn!

Neither do I but it looks that way. I ran back over to his last LJ and seconded you in your advice - which is damn good.

(P.S. I now know why you thought I was "badmouthing" you. *facepalms* One damn comma put wrong - gah, this is embarassing. And I'm supposed to be a writer! *blush*)

He's broken with his father and is trying to stand on his own two feet but he finds it difficult. Lord knows I've tried to tell him that he doesn't need to stand in Lucius' shadow. But he doesn't believe me - not yet. He says he's not looking for love, nor does he believe in it, but obviously, he IS and he doesn't want to admit it to himself.

Yes, he needs a "mentor." It looks like we LJers may just fill that role, in the absence of a "viable" candidate from the Potterverse gang. I don't know what isolde9 is planning for him but it looks like we're his sounding board, for the moment. I'm trying to work my way around the very prickly and very defensive exterior but it's hard. I'm trying to let him spill more beans about Snape so we can "pick through the clues" and warn him off, without giving away the fact that we know too much.

You're saying all the right things to him too - maybe between us we can keep him from making too much of a mess in his life. I hate to see the fallout from this romantic disaster myself.

Man, this RPG is addictive. Never knew it could be so much fun. And such a challenge too! :)

Mind, I'm happy for the chap - it's SNAPE I'm not too happy with. Let's hope His Snootiness doesn't fall too hard, too fast. If he does - I'm going into full ate mode.

At the moment though, he's just way too happy - can't bring myself to spoil his fun. Plus, any advice to him at this point would be seriously inappropriate and would probably earn us a hex (or two, or three....)
