OHMYGAWD I'M STILL ALIIIIIIVE!!!!!

1.  Just switched jobs, can't go into too much detail about that - call center life being what it is.  But that's the reason why I've been so quiet.  It's been way stressful and hectic and now, I have to go and learn things all over again at my new job.  Wish me luck, guys. 

2.  Alas, I have been woefully quiet in fandom, other than writing Trinity Blood fan fics - the fandom being small as it is.  I can't even get excited over the latest Harry Potter book.  WARGH.  Although for the As You Wish fans - never fear, it's not gonna be left unfinished.  Nor will the promised drabbles be left unwritten.  Sigh.  I gotta get my fandom life together - I need this to maintain my sanity!

3.  I know it took me THREE movies to realize this but Spiderman's James Franco is WAY cuter than Tobey Maguire.  *dreamy sigh*

4.  The Philippine Senatorial Elections are still ongoing and it looks like Genuine Opposition candidates are outnumbering the government-supported ones. There IS a God. 

Here's hoping the GO peeps don't abuse our trust and do a good job for Pinoy welfare, yeah?

5.  AIEEE!!! TRANSFORMERS!  THE MOVIE!! Optimus Prime!  Yay for 80s childhood icons!

6.  The Eggling has done me a good turn and bought me Sailormoon First Season DVDs.  I now remember why I adored Sailor Moon and crushed on Mamoru.  So very nostalgic.  Chiba Mamoru also bears a weird resemblance to Initial D's Takahashi Ryosuke.  WARGH.  Stop me from doing any insane crossovers!

Although Usagi and Trinity Blood's Abel Nightroad could be cousins....

7.  I know I've mentioned this on ff.net in my latest Trinity Blood fic Broken Wings.  Finally, here is the real-life Abelcrombie, my newest "baby" who happens to have a lot of fans in my old office, even among the security guards!  Hehe.  He accompanies me to work and helps me keep things in perspective (read:  GREAT STRESS RELIEVER). 

TA-DAH!  Isn't he adorable?  Note the affable grin... although the tiny white hairs aren't too visible but they're there.  Hehe.  So you guys can imagine how Abel Nightroad reacted to his "namesake."  Hee.

*is somewhat amused by Abelcrombie* Hmm, I've found another Abel clone. Father Joshua from 'Saint October'. Allowing for the difference in art style they're pretty much identical, at least in terms of looks (Vash is still in the lead with regards to everything else). I still haven't seen any evidence regarding the real life one I mentioned though. Damn. Good luck with the job.

So I've noticed. It's a source of a certain amount of amusement. What's the count up to so far? (don't count the real life one since I'm yet to see the evidence first-hand)

Aside from the fact that Abel resembles Alucard from that classic Playstation video game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and that guy from Final Fantasy (Sephiroth?) AND Inuyasha's Sesshomaru... his own character type resembles a LOT of my own fave characters - you know the one, sweet scatterbrain hiding deadly power? So there IS Vash, as you've pointed out, and there's Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin (the Battousai and the Crusnik would get along just fine). Also Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing could be one of Abel's sibs as well.

And then, like I said, Usagi Tsukino is the female version of Abel. Blond hair, blue eyes and all. *facepalms*

Stop me - because I really, really want to write a Sailor Moon first season fic where Isabel's the sister of Usagi's mom, making Abel Usagi's cousin and they're close like brother and sister and Mamoru will not know that so he will be REALLY jealous and...

Huh? How did Duo get in there? He's a red head and a nutter (in a good way). Don't forget Father Joshua, plus there's a kid in the same show that looks a bit like a kiddie version of Abel if you squint, since his hair is most definitly silver.

Duo is like Abel in the sense that he acts like an idiot but actually kicks serious ass and operates a Gundam Deathscythe that is the dark angel to Heero Yuy's "angelic" Gundam Zero. I suppose he's more of an Abel cousin than a long-lost sib. Ehehe.

Also, my buddy Jian directed me to Fruits Basket where I found this kid who looks like Younger!Abel. The one that turns into the cutest little mouse. Forget his name. But yeah, he does have a resemblance.

I have to check out this Father Joshua guy.

Re: the elections, I think I my ballot was a good mix of TU, GO and independents, so I'm not biased toward any faction in particular, but I must say I am not pleased at most of the people who are in the lead :( Most of my choices (and I did choose with qualifications, policy issues and sectoral representation in mind) aren't there!
