darth_stitchI should be working - really. But I'm feeling a bit ornery. Not to mention suffering Snarry withdrawal.
I've been reading Spuffy (read: Spike and Buffy) fics to fill my time. Will probably rec some old favorites in a day or two.
In the meantime, I'm (again) rummaging through The Site That Must Not Be Named for some hidden treasures.
Today's hunt was unsuccessful - I did, however, turn up some seriously HILARIOUS badfics for the "THUMP! Your Head Against the Keyboard Awards"
Badfic Awardee #1
Makeover!Snape. Yep, it's another one of those fics where Snape is suddenly transformed into a virtual Adonis. *snort*
I certainly don't mind the notion that Snape would probably look good if he "cleans up." (Why not? It can be pulled off and with finesse, too) But er...rhapsodizing over his new "haircut" and students falling all over him in droves as a result is a bit...much. (Haircut? What? He looks like an boyband member now?)
And uhm, Snape suddenly revealing a bod that can rival Joe frickin' Millionaire or Tom Welling when you get to the bedroom scene just makes me LMAO.
And the ....ahem, "smut" writing is awful. Truly. Even worse than those ol' soft-porn love stories floating around in bookstores. GROAAAAAAAAANN.....
Summary snippet: "...Can Harry succeed in opening the gate into Severus' heart?" Er. Gate? Um. Awkward, much?

Summary snippet: Harry's hurt by Lucius and soon is with child. Severus is chose to help Harry with the child.
Y'know, the bad summary itself makes me want to gouge my eyes out. MPREGs are good for a laugh, though I never take 'em seriously (how on EARTH can you take a pregnant MAN seriously?). But if the summary writing is this bad, I shudder to think of what's inside. Fluffy!Snape? Weepy!Effeminate!Harry? MoustacheTwirlingVillain!Lucius? Ewwwwwwwwwwwww......
