my week in a nutshell...
Feb. 18th, 2006 09:30 pmGerman Uncle Duck shows improvement, thank God. He's already able to open his eyes and responds when Youngest Auntie Duck calls his name. So hopefully, he'll be out of the hospital soon and can finally go home to Germany. *mentally offers thanks to God, Mary, all the angels and saints* And thanks to you guys on me f-list who offered their own prayers and good wishes.
Mommy Duck and I are both de-stressing... it really has not been the best of weeks. So like the true mallrats (or mallDUCKS) that we are, we went to catch a movie (AeonFlux, which is pretty good) and waddled about the mall for a bit. Finally got my cute widdle Polar Bear from Marks & Spencers' - they knocked down the sale price a bit more, so YAY! for my wallet. I have named him "Bo Bear" in honor of Bo Bice, whose CD I got too and I like about nearly every song there, which is kinda rare, because I usually like about 3-4 songs on an artist's album. Heh. Yay, Bo!
Here's a hilarious exchange between Mommy Duck and the Egglet last night:
The Eggling: Well, what IS in Germany that isn't here in the Philippines? What can you see there?
Mommy Duck: Their cooking pots and pans!
The Eggling: THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!
Mommy Duck: Well, their cooking pots and pans are of very good quality!
The Eggling: *falls over*
Me: *dead from laughter*

Shop Therapy is Good :)
Date: 2006-02-18 04:40 pm (UTC)Doing a bit of therapeutic shopping is a good idea, congrats on the cute polar bear. If you were here, you'd have some polar weather to go with him! No snow, but it is 13 F/ -11 C here right now. A *tad* chilly. It might feel good on your beach-sunburn? :D
Hmm... things to see in Germany - nice cars? Your mom is a scream! I'd second the pots and pans. And software developers! *grin* Probably a lot of historal stuff, too. :)
