Once more into the breach....for my Dad.

We're taking Dad to the hospital today to finally FINALLY have that ominous lump under his arm checked. He's had it for a few months now and stubbornly refused all our pleas to bring him to the doctor to have it seen to. He's plain TERRIFIED and we're all trying to reassure him that whatever happens, we'll see him through this.

I'm scared too, but I, like Mommy Duck and the Eggling, are trying to keep it together for Dad's sake. And we're all praying that the Ominuous Lump is treatable and that in a few months from now, we'll be laughing ourselves silly over it.

Please God, let my Dad be all right. I'd like him to be around for quite some time longer, so he can pester me all he wants about grandchildren - gay or not, and drive me up the wall about my weight, claim that he is an Alien from another Planet (which explains me, of course) AND just plain love me. 'Cause I love him muchly too.

Thanks. We're awaiting the results of Dad's tests but definitely, he's going to go under the knife.
