oh god. so very disturbing. the very first snape/harry story i read. hooked me into the fandom. like reading JKR on crack. ARGH! but damn, it's good.

stitch has given up on the whole EU bit and is pretty much reading mostly SW fan fic. she's got a rather soft spot for Chewbacca, see.

Yeah, the Expanded Universe has been good (all the Timothy Zahn books are excellent), but the New Jedi Order series scared me off with some bad stuff like killing off Chewie. He dies nobly, but still! But I've got to recommend one or two of the books at least - Force Heretic: Remnant has Luke, Mara, and Jacen Skywalker going off to look for a mythical planet and running into the Imperial Remnant under Grand Admiral Pellaeon... who needs their help. It's quite good and nobody we care about dies. So you can safely read that one and get caught up on the NJO stuff without having to wade through all 20+ books. And the other book is NJO, The Living Force, where the battle with the Vong finally comes to a conclusion and it's very good. Pellaeon and his Impies appear in that one, too, and one of the bad-bad guys *finally* gets killed off. Yay. <_< And then there's my own SW fanfics - did you get a change to read the Pellaeon ones? (Hee, I'm a noodge.)

Um. I really, really, really HATED Dark Chocolate (well, I wanted Telanu's Posessed!Harry to come in and kick their asses). Heh.

But I get what you mean. I'm still bawling over Posession and completely terrified for Harry and Severus. I'm terrified this will not end well. At all. EEEEEK.
