Or maybe I'm hanging around ff.net too much.
While waiting for my favorite Snarry WIPs to update (hint!hint! -heheh), I've been trolling around my favorite rec sites, hunting down new fic. Alas and alack, either I've read the things OR they're just waaaaaay too squicky for my taste.
So I find myself hanging around ff.net and wonder of wonders - Hanakai, one of my fave Snarry authors, has updated her Snarry arc. Run over here and marvel at the beauty of her J. Alfred Prufrock story arc - her use of language and emotion is exquisite.
But I digress.
Like I said, I was minding my own business, happily rummaging around in the junk of ff.net (looking there is like looking through a garage sale - lots of junk but the rare treasure you uncover is worth it) when I was hit with a rabid, evil plot bunny.
From a slightly bad fic.
AAAAAAAARGH!!!
I say slightly bad because the writing is uneven but tolerable and the main plot idea is way out there but I've seen worse things and at least this has overtones of Ranma 1/2 in it. With Harry in the role of Ranma.
For non-anime/manga fans: Ranma 1/2 is this uber-popular animated/comic series in Japan about the general craziness in the life of this young martial artist - Ranma - who's under a weird-ass curse. Ranma is a guy by birth and inclination. Because of the curse however, he turns into this cute, busty redheaded girl whenever he's splashed with cold water (which happens fairly often) and can only turn back when he's splashed with hot water. Add in multiple engagements to multiple fiancees (not his fault really), crazed rivals for the fiancees, martial arts supremacy or for Ranma himself/herself, old perverts and other stuff - you get a wild, wonderful crazy mix of comedy, romance and action.
Anyway, I'm being attacked by the INSANE urge to drag poor Harry (in seventh year) to Jusenkyo, dunk him in the Spring of Drowned Girl (courtesy of Draco), turn the poor boy into a pretty girl and let him loose on poor Severus(who would have to swing both ways for this fic).
It will be bad. It will be shameless. AAAAAARRRRGH! Stop me, please, dear gods - this thing must NEVER EVER see the light of day. Not even if I want to have crazed gorgeous Chinese Amazons (of both genders) challenging Harry for his hand in marriage, Draco getting dunked in the Spring of Drowned Pig (Draco P-chan? ACK!), Ron falling over into the Spring of Drowned Panda and Hermione the only sane person in the lot. And Ginny - spare poor Ginny the agony, please, of having the role of Ukyo in this fic. And oh yeah-parodying the well-used storyline of Severus and Harry needing to be bonded? engaged? for the boy's own good.
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Plot Bunny's attacking me! HELP!!!!!
